1. Grisaille with Glazes: Grisaille is a painting executed entirely in shades of grays, black and white with soft brush stokes. A glaze is a thin transparent or semi-transparent layer on a painting which modifies the appearance of the underlying paint layer. Each layer had to be left for a couple of days for one layer to dry before the next was applied. Borrowed from the Old Masters technique. It offers soft brush strokes with more realistic resemblance.  
2. Multi-Layered:  A multi-layered painting is where the painting, or a particular part of it, had to be left for a couple of days for one layer to dry before the next body of paint paste was applied. It offers more visible brush stroke with characterized resemblance.
3. Wet-on-wet, or Alla Prima painting technique, in which layers of wet paint are applied to previous layers of wet paint. Usually Wet-on-wet painting is done faster than the above techniques. The result here may have a sketchy, expressionist or impressionist touch. while in the above two techniques the result tends to be more realistic. Final result varies from artist to another, it is the most freer technique. This technique shows the energy of evident brush strokes with impasto  feel " thicker paint paste".
